Privacy notice
We use account and computer information to deliver your plugins, manage licences and prevent misuse. The licensing service does not receive your tracks, mixes or DAW audio.
Who is responsible
Unfair Advantage Ltd, Meleti 2C, 8570 Pegeyia, Cyprus (HE 490027), is responsible for personal data processed by the audiomaxxing website and licensing service. Contact support@audiomaxxing.com for privacy requests.
What we collect and why
- Account and purchase details: your email, account and licence identifiers, product, subscription state, paid period and payment-provider references. We receive payment confirmation, refund and dispute events from Stripe. We need these to perform our contract, deliver access and provide support. We do not receive your full payment-card number.
- Activation details: a hashed computer identifier, public device-encryption key, computer name, platform, plugin version, activation time and last contact. These bind your licence to your computer, manage seats and deliver compatible licence files. The device's private encryption key stays on that device.
- Trial and security records: email, hashed computer identifier, trial use, licence changes and audit records. Our legitimate interests are preventing repeated trials, unauthorised sharing and fraud, and investigating problems. Rate limits use keyed hashes of IP addresses or email addresses, rather than storing the raw value in the rate-limit table.
- Licence identification: issued sound-processing data contains a licence-specific identifier to help trace unauthorised distribution. This identifies the issued licence data; it does not watermark or upload your audio.
- Support and withdrawal requests: the contact details and information you send, the order reference, receipt time and our response. We use these to respond, perform contractual obligations and comply with consumer law. Do not send payment-card details or unrelated sensitive information.
- Website and service traffic: our hosting and infrastructure providers process technical request information, such as IP address, requested URL and error information, to deliver and secure the service. Our application logs operational errors and security events.
We rely on legal obligations for records we must keep and on legitimate interests for establishing or defending claims. Account email and activation information are necessary to provide the licensed service; without them we cannot authenticate you or activate a computer. Licensing rules are applied automatically, but you can ask support to review an incorrect restriction.
Browser storage and cookies
Our website stores your sign-in token and email in browser local storage. If that is unavailable, it tries session storage, then keeps the session only in the open page. Signing out removes the active session. The server stores a hash of the sign-in token. Do not share a signed-in browser profile.
The shipped website uses no advertising or analytics scripts and loads its fonts from our own site. This storage supports sign-in; it is not used for advertising. Link/Stripe checkout is a separate service with its own cookies and privacy information.
Who receives information
We use Supabase for the licence database, API and installer storage, Resend for transactional email, and hosting/CDN providers to serve the website. Access is limited to what is needed for these services and authorised support.
Stripe and Link process purchase, payment, tax, subscription and fraud information under their own applicable terms and privacy notices. See Stripe's privacy notice and the information shown at checkout. We share relevant order information when resolving a refund, dispute or support request. We do not sell your personal data.
The licence database is configured in Frankfurt, Germany. Some providers and their subprocessors may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on an applicable adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
How long we keep it
We retain account, purchase and activation records while they are needed to provide your licence, including a perpetual licence. We retain records needed for statutory obligations, refunds, disputes and legal claims for the applicable period. We assess what is needed when an account is closed or you request deletion.
Trial-eligibility and security records may be retained after a trial or deactivation where necessary to prevent abuse. They are not automatically erased when a trial ends. Sign-in links expire after 20 minutes, device approval codes after 15 minutes and web sessions after 30 days. Routine cleanup removes expired sessions and old temporary codes, links and rate-limit windows; expiry does not mean every associated support or audit record is deleted at that instant.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact support@audiomaxxing.com; we may need proportionate information to verify your request.
You can complain to your local data-protection authority or the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection. We would also welcome the chance to resolve your concern directly.
Changes
We will update this notice when our processing changes and provide additional notice where required. The revision date appears above.
